2wks into life in Siglap Branch, finally i can have a slight confidence to say i am starting to feel better.
Had this "withdrawal" feeling initially - not quite used to the distance and environment though. A place 2times bigger - sales 3times better kind of branch. Somehow feels the pressure in thinking how to turn the branch better.
This one posts a bigger challenge in my own context, Stirling had a clear picture - make it back to profitable terms, Do what you can - what u need and just go and do it - nothing is too little to make it afloat.
Siglap is a little more challenging - i have to rethink everything. Somehow mistakes is not advisable - i dun want to make sales drop and it will be unthinkable.
Finally, i managed to do somethings i liked doing. Displaying something and seeing it get sold is really a good feeling, and thats probably what a retailer feels good abt..
Getting a little more hands-on has been on my mind for 2wks, and i finally managed to find loopholes for me to show my worth. Being a manager is no fun if i dun get to touch things - thn i might as well go become Admin.
Hope things turns out well in the upcoming projects, probably abt 10+ projects instore for Siglap and a few is already well underway. Not too bad for a 2wk period - and for my 2nd branch..haha..
