A eventful "uptown" day as my whole day was spent in town ... (maybe eva since dinosaurs were still ard..)
Teaching Seminar @ Orchard Hotel Attended the seminar to know more about what i had orginally wanted to be - Chinese Teacher. As usual, there was'nt much emphasis on the MT teaching programmes - guess i gotta find out more myself. But good thing to know that much of the benefits were relatively attractive, salary and stuff.
Could see that MOE was quite keen on attracting pple to do mid-career switching, and put themself into teaching after experience in other industries.. Thinking about the teaching option should i really give up on what i have now... back to my 1st love..haha..perhaps still need some time to think think about it. But I believe i might just go for the Profficiency Test, to know where my standard is now - after so many yrs of not using much of Chinese writing eva since sec sch days...
Afterwhich, went over to PS to catch up wif this nu'er HY, makan Ajisen then watched "Lars & the Real Girl" - haha..combi of Mr Bean and House Of Wax! Chatted and updated about happenings the past 2wks. Next came the highlight - "drink class". My 1st experience of sitting in a bar (wateva u call it,acutally we sat outside!) with a frend and actually drinking cocktail with alcholic content. Sounds beri useless of me for a 23yr old man to say that but well..i am not born to drink so, I am learning abit here and there so gimme a chance pls...Had "Black Russian" and yep it tasted nt too bad..Chatted and yeah..maybe interested in that thingy call After8..with mint? ..we shall wait and see ba..haha.. It was certainly quite nice with a frend..haha or nu'er drinking..and in turn i look to her as teacher lo..tats why i rather get her for my 1st time then some ah bengs out there (oops) and psycho me to drink like a thirsty freak.. yep..i trusted this 1&only nu'er betta than guys lo..haha..missed the telepathy talking wif her using the lame frequency tat has been put into the freezer eva since she left the company..sighzz..and re-using it yest was quite happy.. Can MSN la..but scare gajiao her in her stuffs..so diam diam lo..well.. Now that some1 has opened the door for me into the alcholic arena, just maybe i might start to indulge in such activity too..atmosphere was nice..watch football abit ..talk and chit chat..
Come to think of it..many of the things that happen in my life was influenced by various pple to me..else i might just be another country pumpkin ..All thanks to them for bringing such things into my life...
KTV - Eric Wong/Kilo and guys Pool - Gilbert/ChowHua (but i still dun favour pool much..hee) Football - Mr Rahman(selected me to play inter-class..)/Shunping and Pri sch mates Table Tennis - Mrs Goh Choo San(Pri sch teacher - encouraged me to join ECA after the Choir disaster..) Baseketball - Sec 2 frends - cos no football field in YT so join them play bball, but now almost nil..cos of my disc prob..kia xi ma... Badminton - My uncle - haha..the interest was built up since young..playing with uncle and later i am pitting against other pple in sch and now leisurely plays with collegues every month.. Movies - 1st movie on my own, A Jackie Chan movie ...forget wat name..but since then movie-ing is a beri norm thing already.. Running - Perhaps being drilled while BMT not to give up during the run, i.e. walk to the end..slowly i am cultivated that nv-give-up spirit and really i kindof like running when boliao..haha..i love that last 50m dashing past people, if any, during IPPT..haha.. Swimming - haha..maybe there maybe more swimming coming up. Doc says swimming gd for the back and slipped disc..well...haha..i have a swimming pool downstairs..the last time i went in was....5months ago? haha..forget..
Good frends are hard to come by - and i think i might have lost some.. whilst drinking and thinking of whom i can call upon next to chitchat and talk rot was a headache.. thinking why i had to be so boliao for some parts of the last 2wks..now i see it more clearly..haha..If any1 seeing this thinks its a hint for u guys/gals to "pity" on me..well..YES..haha..u r free to jio me out de..i can manage my time well enuf...haha..
